Abstract – (500 Characters)

Abstract:

This study aimed to assess the emotional health of adult learners in our Secondary Education School for Adults, with the ultimate goal of implementing support mechanisms for students facing emotional difficulties to prevent educational dropout. The study was conducted at our Secondary Education School for Adults, where an Emotional Well-being Committee was established to carry out this little research. The emotional well-being of the student was evaluated through surveys, allowing for an in-depth understanding of the challenges faced by adult learners in terms of mental health. Results revealed a concerning trend of depressive symptoms among the students, with some individuals reporting suicidal ideation. These findings emphasize the importance of addressing mental health within the adult education context. Based on the study’s outcomes, the committee recommends the development support systems, including counseling services, peer support groups, and workshops focused on stress management and mental health awareness. By identifying the emotional struggles of our students, this study lays the groundwork for providing timely and effective interventions aimed at reducing the emotional burden that contributes to school dropout. Overall, this modest study highlights the need for a proactive approach to emotional health in adult education settings, ensuring that students not only succeed academically but also maintain their mental well-being.
