I was born and raised on a small farmette in Southwest Wisconsin. The small town life taught to me greatly value the bonds and relationships we form by working with and interreacting with people everyday. My mother was and still is a property manager for Palisade Properties in Platteville WI. I grew up watching and observing the rental property industry and finding myself intrigued by it and how much of impact a landlord can have on the lives of their tenants if they take proper care of them. At the age of 14, I began working under my mother first as a maintenance tech. After developing a general skillset in maintenance and starting my college degree, I stepped into the office and began learning the management end of the industry. I served as an assistant manager for Palisade throughout college and still do some work for them over the summer, as I am also a social studies teacher. Teaching completes me and is a huge part of my life, but I have never lost the love for managing rental properties, which lead me to starting Equity. I want to be able to still work in the industry and help as many people as I can through the work that I do, without having to give up my teaching career. Myself, and my team take great pride in operating Equity similarly to how a good teacher operates their classroom, and that can be summarized with a few key words; success, growth, trust, accountability, and last but certainly not least, equity.
