Tried digging around the Epson drivers themselves, and found that the Advance Printer Driver 5 displays the feature more prominently in the second tab, whilst in APD version 4, the buzzer is hidden under some settings. In both versions of the driver you can get them to work though, through a regular windows print job, however not from POS.

I set up a little machine running Ubuntu Server 12.04 with an Epson TM-T88V plugged into it directly. At first I was able to print fine (using lp) but the auto-cutter wasn't working. I realized it just wasn't using the correct PPD file that was included with the driver, so once I set the printer to use that cutting started working fine.

Hello, I have several network attached epson tm88v thermal receipt printers that I recently added network cards to, I had no trouble adding the printers to the server. After a random amount of time 1-3 days they stopped printing with a "no toner/ink" queue status on the server print management page. This is strange because they are thermal printers and do not have ink/toner. I have recently converted these printers from usb to network by swapping out the USB card with a Epson UB-E04 Ethernet Interface C32824541. When called to print the print job shows in the queue but wont print, I can clear the queue but not the low toner/ink status. I have tried generic/text only drivers as well as several different tm88v driver versions to no avail.

I tried the package from plinth666 but the raster wasn't quite proper. I used then a bunch of free code from Epson, a PPD file from another printer and modify them to produce this new package: -tm-t88v-driver
