The SEA Teacher Program is an international exchange initiative organized by the SEAMEO Secretariat that provides opportunities for pre-service student teachers from Southeast Asian universities to gain teaching experience in partner schools abroad. Through classroom observation, lesson planning, and teaching practice, participants are introduced to different educational environments and cross-cultural learning experiences.
The program aims to support the professional development of pre-service teachers by providing opportunities to experience real classroom teaching in an international environment. Through this program, participants can strengthen their pedagogical skills, improve their confidence in using English for instruction, and develop intercultural understanding through interaction with teachers and students in the host school.
