To find your Academic Support Requirement, visit the Academic Support Progress Board and find your ID number.
Your Academic Support Requirement is the number of hours that you are required to complete at tutoring outside of class, and workshops outside of class, that are approved and listed on the EPS Calendar. You must complete your requirement by the extended deadline of Monday, December 8, 2025.
If you are assigned 720 minutes, that means that you must complete 12 hours of tutoring and workshops by the end of semester deadline.
Out of this total of 12 hours, 25% (180 minutes, or 3 hours) at a minimum must be done as one-on-one tutoring.
If you are assigned 480 minutes, that means that you must complete 8 hours of tutoring and workshops by the end of semester deadline.
Out of this total of 8 hours, 25% (120 minutes, or 2 hours) at a minimum must be done as one-on-one tutoring.
If you are assigned 240 minutes, that means that you must complete 4 hours of tutoring and workshops by the end of semester deadline.
Out of this total of 4 hours, 25% (60 minutes, or 1 hour) at a minimum must be done as one-on-one tutoring.
You are required to complete this Academic Support Acknowledgment Form by Friday, October 3rd. You will earn 30 minutes of tutoring for correct completion.
Instructions:
Sign in to FDU's Office 365 with your FDU username and password.
Click on the Academic Support Acknowledgment Form link (provided here and on your course WebCampus, under the "Academic Support" link)
Read the form carefully, and complete, and submit.
If your signed form is incomplete, or has any other issues, you will be contacted by an administrator from the EPS Office.
The tally of completed minutes will be available here.
You must also keep track of the sessions you have attended, so that you can check what you have completed against the official report above. Please note that all time is credited based on what an event facilitator reports, so if a workshop ends early, or goes longer, that is the final time that will be credited to each student.
Please note: excepting Metro Writing Studio workshops on APA Format, students will only receive credit for attending unique sessions. If the same session occurs twice, or three times, you will only get credit for the first time that you attended the session.
Example: The Metro Library runs the same workshop, 'Online Library Workshop: Research Basics for Undergraduate EPS Students' 3 times this semester. If you attend all 3, you will only gain credit for one.
The deadline to complete EPS Academic Support has been extended to Monday, December 8, 2025.
Visit our FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page for more information.
You must be aware that all times posted on the EPS calendar are scheduled for Eastern Time (EDT), which is the time that it is in New Jersey. You must attend the workshop at the time that it is occurring in New Jersey, and be aware of the time difference in your country, if studying abroad, so that you can attend at the right time. Also, if the workshop contains a Doodle invitation, please be aware that Doodle may convert the time to your time zone when you sign up.
We suggest using a Time Converter (like the one linked here) to ensure that you are attending your sessions on time.
If you have any additional questions, please contact the EPS Associate Director, Ms. DesFosses, desfoss1@fdu.edu via your FDU student e-mail.
