The MSC Antonia has run aground in the Red Sea after a suspected spoofing attack caused the ship to divert their intended route. Multiple ships in the Red Sea encountered electronic interference and GPS disruptions on May 9, a day before The MSC Antonia was stuck. A Q1 report in 2025 showed an intensification of GPS jamming globally, with more than 180 ships being affected in the Red Sea. The researching firm warns that spoofing efforts have become much more advanced on sensitive shipping routes.

There is an ongoing attack into the SAP NetWeaver. Sap released emergency patches on April 24, days after the attack was found by the cybersecurity company ReliaQuest. On May 14th it was revealed that two more ransomware gangs had joined the attacks, neither on which have been successful. The groups behind the attack attempts have been associated with BianLian out of Russia and RansomEXX whose origins are unknown.
