A Mooc run by http://www.europeanschoolnetacademy.eu/

My Learning Diary by Tiziana Angiolini

Introduction

I have decided to do this Mooc as I have always appreciated the work and the team of educators who have been working with Europeanschoolnetacademy.eu. I have done a lot of courses and the quality and the level of engagement have been really interesting for me.

The world of education is changing and it has been reshaped. We still teach in old schools but we want to bring new ideas and change our way of working. Moocs and many educators are now focussing on the different skills which we do need to teach our learners. The European Union has asked educators and governments to work different competences and skills.

In Italy we have just begun Alternanza Scuola Lavoro in the last three years of Secondary school and the specific tasks we need to build in our learners should help them develop as students and citizens. We will have to work more on the way we are running such experiences but it is important to remember that schools are not a world apart, they belong to the present and they need to be part of a new learning environment .

Right now I am seeing some experiences share online about STEM and ENTREPRENEURSHIP http://globalstudentconference.com/.

I am learning about the many projects and ideas which we can use in class to help our students work and learn in a different way.

ITALY AND THE NEW JOB OPPORTUNITIES OR THE OPPORTUNITIES WHICH WE HAVE LOST

In a society where more and more people are jobless or lose job opportunities it is important to provide a different approach to learning and teaching. Schools should not become a factory or a factory but it is up to us the teachers to develop critical thinking skills and a different mind-set among our learners.
