Terri lives with her partner, two grown children and several pets. Other than writing, she enjoys crocheting, sewing and embroidery, (with a tendency to have multiple projects going at once) and playing a video game called House Flipper, which is more like an addiction. She also plays video, dice, card and board games with her kids.
Her oldest is Mitchell, who is a genealogist and historian. He has been working on their family tree for the past 13 years with a little assistance from Terri on occasion. He is passionate about both subjects and works at learning more every day, and has traced the family lineage back to the early history of man and includes many historical and royal figures. His cat Smokey chose him to be her human after his other cat passed over the rainbow bridge.
Beth is the baby and she has many interests including making gaming videos for YouTube and TikTok. She loves animals and her cross-eyed cat Tigger, who adopted us many years ago, follows her like a little puppy and spends much of his time on her lap when she records or watches TV. She is a great helper around the house as well, a fantastic listener and a peace keeper when needed.
Paul is a retired contractor and he and his family were in racing until recently. In fact, there is a race car in our back yard! He keeps himself busy most days working on motors, and builds about one every year. He visits his children, grandchildren and now a great-grandchild who live in the north west part of the state fairly often. His cat Curly keeps a close eye on him, whether inside or out.
Before retiring Terri worked in customer service oriented jobs, mostly in food establishments. Her first job was serving (non-alcoholic) drinks in a small café in a small town when she was 12 years old, and she loved the interaction and bantering with the customers. The next year her parents opened their own café with a game room to one side for the kids, and Terri helped in the kitchen, behind the counter, and served home-cooked food and drinks when she wasn't hanging out with her friends. The whole family pitched in and it was tiring but enjoyable. Terri got to know many people she otherwise would never have met by working in other establishments over the years.
She and her family are from Iowa originally and moved to Colorado in 2017. Terri is more of a progressive thinker and felt the political agenda in Iowa was far from satisfactory, and with few who felt the same way or were willing to help change things, the family decided to move to beautiful Colorado. They now reside in the south west corner in a valley surrounded by mountains and are happier than ever.
The last member of the family is Myles, who is a Maltese and stays by Terri's side as much as possible. He's twelve years old and came to them as a puppy when there were two other dogs, a ten year old Rottweiler named Taz who was obviously the alpha male even though he was a gentle giant, and a spayed female boxer-pit bull mix who had taken over every toy in the house and was very active. He never learned how to play with a toy for that reason, even now that she and Taz are gone, so he's just a little attention hog.
Terri and her family wish you and yours the best life can bring you, which is joy and peace.
