Implementation and Evaluation of a Wi-Fi Network Using AODV Routing Protocol
BY ALI TAJVIDY
Mission of the project
Although Wi-Fi technology introduced based on the 802.11 protocol in 1997 [1], it still has new things to enhance wireless communications including Wi-Fi Direct [1], Wi-Fi backscatter communication [2] and M2M communication [3]. Furthermore, it can be used for indoor localization solutions where GPS does not work [4]. In this project, a Wi-Fi network is simulated which uses AODV, which stands for Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector, a routing protocol designed for wireless and mobile ad hoc networks [5]. The simulation tool might be one of NS3, Riverbed Modeler and Cisco Packet Tracker.
