Behavioral Economics Institute
The Behavioral Economics Institute (BEI) or Instituto de Economía del Comportamiento (IEC) is a new research center launched at the Universidad Europa. At the BEI we focus on understanding human behavior within societies, markets and organizations, with the explicit purpose of designing and evaluating policy interventions inspired by behavioral science. Faculty from the Universidad Europea de Valencia and other international Research Centers work at BEI to explore how individuals make decisions and how to help them making better choices in a sustainable and cost-effective way.
As part of their activities, the BEI regularly organizes Workshops in Behavioral Economics at the Europea (WoBE@E). You can check the scientific programs of these workshops in the WoBE@E tab. In 2025, we hosted the International Meeting in Experimental and Behavioral Social Sciences (IMEBESS) in Valencia.
In 2026, we will be hosting the I Summer School on Applied Behavioral Methods, and the 5th WoBE@E on Applied Behavioral Research.
