Worshipful Master -Worshipful Brother Gerald "Jerry" Underwood

Worshipful Brother Gerald (Jerry) Underwood was born in Escondido, California and raised in both Oregon and Iowa. WB Jerry began his Masonic journey at Ramah Lodge #165, Ramah, Colorado in November, 2009. After being Raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason in March, 2010, he petitioned for the degrees of Scottish Rite where he is a 32° KCCH, Past Master of the Lodge of Perfection, and Director of Degrees for the Southern Colorado Consistory. WB Jerry is also very active in the York Rite and serves as a Companion in the Royal Arch Chapter #6, Zabud Council #8, and a Sir Knight in the Pikes Peak Commandery #6. He is a Frater of the Colorado College of the Societas Rosicruciana in Civitatibus Foederatis and a member of the Scottish Rite Research Society. In 2017, WB Jerry was inducted the Royal Order of Scotland and Gofannin Council #315, Allied Masonic Degrees.

WB Jerry’s principle areas of research include Pythagoreanism, Rosicrucian Doctrine, Templarism, Illuminism, Kabbalah, Alchemy, and Gnostic Christianity. In 2013, WB Jerry published his graduate Thesis entitled: “The Silent Revolution: Exploring the Rise of Secret Societies in 18th Century Europe and their Influence on Colonial American Government” at Regis University, Denver.

WB Jerry has been a member of Enlightenment Lodge #198 since September, 2010.

Senior Warden - Worshipful Brother Barry D. Nightingale

Worshipful Brother Barry Nightingale was born in California, and Initiated, Passed, and Raised in Ute Pass Lodge #188, Woodland Park, Colorado where he was Worshipful Master in 2015. He became a member of Enlightenment Lodge #198, in 2015. WB Nightingale is a 32° KCCH in the Scottish Rite, and serves on the Reunion Staff for the Southern Colorado Consistory. Active in York Rite, he is a Past Excellent High Priest, Past Thrice Illustrious Master, and Past Commander of The Colorado Springs York Rite Bodies. He received the Knight Ish Sodi (Grand Council of Cryptic Masons of Colorado) in 2013. He currently serves in the officer line of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Colorado. He was inducted into the York Rite Sovereign College and the Red Cross of Constantine in 2015. He is also serving as Sovereign Master of Gofannin Council #315, Allied Masonic Degrees and is a Frater of the Colorado College of the Societas Rosicruciana in Civitatibus Foederatis.

Junior Warden - Worshipful Brother Ricky G. Haskell

WB Ricky Haskell was Raised in 2001 in Centurion Daylight Lodge in Monument Colorado. WB Rick has served as the Worshipful Master of Rob Morris Lodge No. 92 in 2007 and 2008 and Secretary from 2009 through 2015. He was Worshipful Master of Schiller Lodge No. 41 in 2015 and 2016. He has been a District Lecturer since 2014 and was the Grand Tiler in 2014. WB Rick has been very active in both the Scottish and York Rite and currently serves as the Excellent High Priest, Thrice Illustrious Master, and Commander of The Colorado Springs York Rite Bodies. WB Rick served on the Grand Lodge Finance Committee 2002 through present, the Denver Consistory Finance Committee from 2012 through present, as a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Robert Russell Eastern Star Masonic Center from 2002 through 2006 and 2008 through 2012 where he was also Treasurer and a member of the Finance Committee. In addition to the many administrative activities, WB Rick is a member of the AMD, The Sovereign York Rite College and the Colorado College of Societas Rosicruciana In Civitatibus Foederatis (SRICF). He is also, first and foremost a researcher and student of Freemasonry and has been published in both the Rocky Mountain Mason Magazine and the Knights Templar Magazine. WB Rick has been honored by being awarded the Colorado Grand Lodge Worshipful Master of the Year Award in 2007.

Treasurer - Worshipful Brother Scott W. Casey

Worshipful Brother Scott Casey was Initiated, Passed, and Raised in Centurion Daylight Lodge #195, in Monument, Colorado. He affiliated with Enlightenment Lodge #198 in 2008, and served as its Worshipful Master in 2014 & 2015. Fully engaged as a Freemason, WB Scott is an active member of the Scottish Rite as well as the York Rite Chapter, Council and Commandery, and a Frater of the Societas Rosicruciana in Civitatibus Foederatis. His personal areas of interest include the studies of Gnosticism, Martinism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Hermeticism. He has also studied Kaballah at length with the Kaballah Centre.

Secretary - Worshipful Brother Joseph Surek

Originally from Denver, Colorado, Worshipful Brother Joe Surek is a Past Master of Park Hill Lodge #148. Raised in 2009, he is extensively involved in many branches of Freemasonry as well as other organizations. Since relocating to southern Colorado, WB Joe has continued his dedication to the fraternity, bringing his zeal for the craft into every area of his involvement.

Senior Deacon - Brother John J. Cummings, Jr.

Brother John Cummings was initiated into Enlightenment Lodge #198 in May of 2008, passed to the Degree of a Fellow craft and made a Master Mason in May of 2009. In the past, he has served as Junior and Senior Stewards and Tyler, with a break due to his military service. He now serves the Lodge as the Senior Deacon. Bro. John recently joined the Scottish Rite which he is extremely excited about and knows that will build on all the Blue Lodge lessons and esoteric beginnings that he has been learning throughout the years in Enlightenment.

Junior Deacon - Brother Eric B. Weddington

Brother Eric Weddington was Initiated, Passed and Raised in Enlightenment Lodge #198, and is a 32º Scottish Rite Mason in the Southern Colorado Consistory. He has studied and been involved in Esoterica, Western Mystery Traditions, and Symbolism for 40 years. Bro. Eric is also a member of the Colorado Masonic Speakers Bureau (CMSB) and has given presentations throughout Colorado on symbolism, esoterica, and original Masonic research. He lives in Denver.

Marshal - Most Worshipful Brother Karl Hinkle, PGM

A native of Waco, Texas, Most Worshipful Brother Karl Hinkle grew up in Colorado Springs. MWB Karl began his Masonic journey in 1992 while living in Omaha, Nebraska, and continued following his return to Colorado Springs. He is a Past Master of El Paso Lodge #13.

MWB Karl was the charter Worshipful Master of Enlightenment Lodge #198, serving our Lodge while it operated under dispensation in 2007, and through our first two years under charter during 2008 and 2009. He also holds plural membership in Blackhawk Lodge #11 and is an associate member in Lodge of Living Stones #4957 in Leeds, England.

Karl has been honored to be coroneted a 33rd degree Inspector General Honorary in the Scottish Rite Southern Jurisdiction, and currently serves as Personal Representative of the Sovereign Grand Inspector General in Colorado for the Valley of Colorado Springs / Pueblo. MWB Karl has received the designation of KYCH in the York Rite, is a member of Al Kaly Shrine, and has been admitted to numerous invitational Masonic bodies.

Chaplain - Worshipful Brother Raymond H. Dunn, Jr.

Worshipful Brother Ray Dunn was Initiated, Passed and Raised in 1997 in Phoenix Lodge #8, Fayetteville, North Carolina. He is a member of Enlightenment Lodge #198, El Paso #13, and East Denver #160, and Past Master of Enlightenment Lodge #198 in 2012 and 2013. WB Dunn is a 32° KCCH in the Scottish Rite, Past Secretary of the Colorado Springs Masonic Bodies, and served as the Director of the Degrees and Reunion General for the Southern Colorado Consistory from 2007-2013. He has served the Colorado Springs York Rite Bodies as King (Chapter), Deputy Master (Council), and Generalissimo (Commandery), and received honor of Knight Ish Sodi (Grand Council Cryptic Masons of Colorado) in 2013. WB Dunn is a Frater of the Colorado College of the SRICF. He has been a student of the esoteric mysteries for numerous years. His primary areas of study and research are Hermetic philosophy, Kabbalah, Alchemy, Gnosticism, and Esoteric Christianity. He often travels to Lodges and provides education presentations on Freemasonry and other esoteric subjects. WB Ray Dunn is currently serving as Junior Grand Deacon of the Grand Lodge of Colorado, A.F. & A.M.

MWB Michael L. McMillan is a member of South Pueblo Lodge #31, Blackhawk Lodge #11, and Enlightenment Lodge #198 in Colorado, also Lodge St. Thomas #306 in Scotland, the Pueblo York Rite bodies, and St. Bernard Commandery. Coroneted 33° Honorary in Southern Colorado Consistory where he served as Director of the Work and Reunion Director General and is currently on the executive board. Past Most Illustrious Grand Master of the Grand Council of Cryptic Masons of Colorado, Past Governor of Southern Colorado York Rite College, Past Sovereign Master of San Juan Council AMD, currently an officer in Sangre de Christo Conclave Red Cross of Constantine, Pikes Peak Priory K.Y.C.H., and Magi Tabernacle H.R.A.K.T.P., as well as holding membership in the Knight Masons, S.R.I.C.F. (Masonic Rosicrucians), the Royal Order of Scotland and High 12.

Born in Long Beach, California on August 7, 1953, grew up in Eastern Oklahoma, primarily near Oolagah and in Tulsa, and graduated from Tulsa Central High School and Oklahoma State Tech. Worked in several different fields, but primarily in sales and marketing, in such industries as steel, photo and electronic imaging. Spent 6 years working as a government documents specialist at the Denver Public Library before moving to Pueblo and becoming self employed doing antique restoration and furniture and musical instrument design and manufacturing, operating a travel business, and is currently doing public speaking and writing on various topics, and assisting with fundraising and other issues involved with cancer research and treatment. He is married to Linda McMillan and they have no children.
