1967 Crestliner Del Rio, our tribute to its 50th year.

Above and Below: A week vacation with GrandPa and GrandMa at their home on Fenton Lake, Michigan, provided a chance to introduce the family to water skiing, tubing, driving the speed boat, and sailing Sunfish.

We purchased the boat in year 2015. We discovered it accidentally at a corner car dealership along our way to the grocery store. We are a couple of owners downwind of a "generous one" who did a fine restoration approximately year 2009. They had the hull gutted, restored and painted. It appears nearly everything in and on the hull was restored or replaced with new components. They added all new interior, installed a 1998 115 HP Evinrude 2 stroke outboard, new steering and speed control gear, new fuel tank, two batteries with selector switch, a mighty stereo system, and upgraded to a 2007 Shorelander trailer. Who ever did this restoration, we are thankful. We are also appreciative that it needed a lot of work when we purchased it, and was fairly priced.
Destinations so far:
Below: We repaired the floor, replaced batteries, and significant washing & polishing. We made a few more upgrades including Kuhmo 185/R14 trailer tires + rims + 2 spares.
Fortunately the 115 HP Evinrude 2 stroke outboard has been a strong reliable performer. We guard gas quality and additive usage carefully.
Above: Our son is highly skilled while still in high school. We are thankful for boating as our platform to teach so many life skills.
Below: We keep the boat as dry as possible. It would help if Dad would stop forgetting to put the plug in!
