The English Teaching Degree trains future teachers of English as a foreign language who will teach this language at all levels of the National Education System. Their training is based on communicative methodologies that make use of the constructivist approach and develops professional, linguistic and cultural skills to provide society with an individual ready to compete in a changing and globalized world.
The Bachelor's Degree in English Teaching of the UPNFM has as its mission the training of effective and efficient professionals in the teaching of English to speakers of other languages, with a high sense of self-learning, commitment and leadership in the national educational system through the development and strengthening of linguistic-communicative, methodological, investigative and attitudinal skills that allow them to contribute to the transformation and improvement of Honduran education.
UPNFM'S English Program aims to strengthen its leadership in the training of competent, critical-reflective and proactive professionals in the field of teaching English to speakers of other languages, both for the formal sector and for other sectors and work areas of national education, which will allow Honduras to enter the global market in a competitive manner.

In the Humanities Week, the university has the opportunity to appreciate the diversity of talents, creativity, skills, professionalism, and passion from the careers of the Faculty of Humanities.
The ‘‘Multicultural Fair’’ counted with the participation of students and teachers. Different classes prepared stands representing cultures multiple countries .
In honor to appreciate the astonishing and important legacies of different authors from English and American Literature, the Poetry Recital was created by the English Department. Event that was organized and prepared by Miss Digna Sevilla from the Introduction to Literature Class.
The English Department was delighted by the presentation of Dramas prepared and organized by the class ‘‘Universal Literature’’, for the celebration of the monumental English Language Day. Students of the class presented adaptations from populars plays such as The Hunchback of Notre-Dame.
