Carol Barriuso

She is a passionate pre-K, primary and English teacher and a lifelong learner. She keeps improving herself by participating in different courses  and programmes around Europe. She currently teaches English and ICT at a primary level where she experiments with the latest methodologies. As an international coordinator at her school, she coordinates several EU-fund projects, Erasmus+ within them. She is also an in-service Counsellor for European Projects  of the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya and an eTwinning ambassadress. 

She co-authors a MOOC "Social Media Literacy 4 Change" in collaboration with European Schoolnet Academy. She has participated in a research group of the Institute of Educational Sciences at the University of Barcelona in projects about Flipped Classroom and Integrated Curriculum. At present she coordinates a group of in-service teachers who advocate for the use of PBL as a student-centred approach in primary education. at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She also coordinates a research group of ESL pre-K teachers that look for new ways of teaching very young learners. 

She is interested in exloring new ways to improve language teaching and teaching in general. Her main research addresses Flipped Classrom, PBL, e-Learning and Gamification in teacher education. She has published several articles and materials about these fields.

Silvia Bertran

Silvia Bertran is a kindergarden teacher.  She is the perfect example of a non-specialist that teaches English into a kindergarden context. She is passionate about children's curiosity and loves watching and helping them grow up. Their inexhaustible curiosity, their motivation for all the activities we offer, the infinite desire to learn, …. all these things fill her life!

She believes that languages must be enjoyed from an early age in order to be fluent.

Carme Capel

Carme Capel  is an English teacher in primary and kindergarten. She is passionate about learning and languages, this is why she found her true vocation as an English teacher. 

After finishing her degree, she started working in primary and kindergarten. As an eager, enthusiastic and proactive person, she is looking for new methodologies and resources to make her students enjoy learning English. She enrolled in some courses to learn more about it but she strongly believes that it is also crucial being in contact with other teachers with same concerns to share experiences and grow in the profession. 

She is also interesed in any methodology or resource that keep students involved and engaged in learning. She also wants to introduce real contexts in her teaching practice by getting involved in collaborative and cooperative projects with several schools around Europe.

Cristina Díez

Cristina Diez is a current English teacher in Primary Education. Her working life has always been related to education. After holding her bachelor degree in Biology and experiencing teaching Science to teens and adults, she decided to go back to the university to develop other facets of her teaching vocation and to work with children in their first stages of the learning process. After finishing her degree in Foreign Languages Primary teacher, she has been teaching English in pre-k and primary. She enjoys teaching and learning from children of all ages.

One of her main concerns is to motivate students and to set the basis of their future learning process. She is always looking for atractive ways of introducing English to her students.

She has taken several courses with the objective of enhancing learning and specially the learning of English. She also believes in the importance of creating significant learnings and forcing the real need for speaking in the foreingh language. For this reason, she started and coordinated the Erasmus project of her former school.

Carolina Garrido

Carolina Garrido has been an English teacher for twenty years. Most of these years she has been in Primary though at the beginning started in Kindergarten. She loves being a teacher, especially an English teacher. Kids from different ages and different interests lets her adapt lessons to their necessities and develop creativity daily.

She is also creative as a member of a Work Team for Servei Educatiu del Vallès Oriental I, creating pedagogical bags to work on AICLE. 

After being in the same school for the last fifteen years, Escola El Turó (Bigues i Riells), she has been the promoter of the school projects to improve the English competences, like: a PELE (pla experimental en llengües estrangeres) Arts & Craft in all courses in Primary, creating English Bags, celebrating an English gymkhana for Halloween, English Day and some eTwinning projects.

For all these she lives in a constant process of training where new technologies and gamification are nowadays on focus.
