COURSE MILESTONES

Course milestones are intended to track your weekly contributions to the class, as well as your progress on projects, group work, research, writing, and much more.

There will be a total of 8 milestones, each worth a total of 5 points. That might not seem like a lot, but given that the total points available for the class is just 100, milestones matter immensely.

Most milestones will be assigned on a bi-weekly basis, giving students 2 weeks to complete. Be sure to check Google Classroom for new milestones & official due dates.

It is your responsibility to update the document regularly and complete all tasks prior to the deadline posted in Classroom.

Based on the performance of my past students, the more time and thought you put into these milestones greatly increases your chances for being successful in this class. Writing responses should be generally well-written, free of grammatical errors, and thought-provoking (I often encourage my students to force themselves to write for ~30 minutes in order to produce a good reply). Reading & research activities should make explicit reference to the source material(s).
