For your final deliverable this semester, you’ll create a portfolio of your work for this class and prepare a presentation to give to the class. Your portfolio will be created in the form of a Google Site with accompanying video and text. This will be publicly available as a record of your work in this class. Please keep in mind the public nature of this audience when crafting what you want to live on the page.
A Google Page Containing
Your name
A brief (paragraph-length) description of who you are and the themes you explored in your work
Situation Poem
Your text or video of your Situation Poem
A video (2-3 minutes) where you introduce your poem, discussing process and product. Some questions to think about include:
What situation did you explore?
Why?
What did you learn?
How did you use sources?
What did you learn from this process?
What’s a specific moment in your work that you are proud of? Why?
Zine
Image(s) from your zine
A video (2-3 minutes) where you introduce your zine, discussing process and product.
What is the topic of your zine?
What was the production process like?
What did you learn about writing and research from this process?
What’s something you are particularly proud of in your zine? Why?
A video reflection on your learning in the course (What are your big takeaways from this course? What would you want someone who is interested in taking this course to know? How will the learning that you did in this course connect to your future goals, personal and professional?)
You will have 11 minutes (hard limit) to present your portfolio. Your presentation should:
Address the rhetorical choices you made in constructing your site (colors, layout, design, images, etc.)
Play all of or clips from the videos you created discussing your work
Focus on specific, tangible examples in your work
