Brass band

We, the Symphonic Band Bureau, are a club with a long history and tradition, celebrating our 69th year in existence in 2022. This year marks the 59th time we have held our annual concert. （In 2018, the club was able to participate in all three major competitions sponsored by the Federation of Wind Bands of Japan (All Japan Wind Band Competition, All Japan Marching Contest, and All Japan Ensemble Contest). We have won the Gold Prize in the Hokkaido Band Contest for 30 consecutive years since 1990, the All Japan Band Contest 9 times, and the All Japan Marching Contest The band has also participated in the All Japan Band Contest 9 times, the All Japan Marching Contest 19 times, the All Japan Ensemble Contest 15 times, and various solo contests, winning prizes and participating in national competitions. We have also participated and won prizes in various solo contests throughout Japan. We also actively participate in local events such as the Ganbo Summer Festival and the Marusseppu Wisteria Festival. We currently have 62 members, half of whom are from junior high schools outside of the towns of Engaru and Yubetsu. Our activities are made possible by the warm support of everyone in the community, and all of us at the bureau are grateful for their support.
