Each Major Assignment will receive 1 - 5 stars depending on how many of the assignment criteria you fulfill. In general, stars will be awarded for the following:

⭐ - Cover Memo
⭐ - Revision & Reflection (Units 1 & 2) OR Presentation (Unit 3)
Criteria: Certain skills or writing conventions that we will practice throughout a Unit. These will be specific to the genre and purpose of the assignment.
Cover Memo: Similar to last semester, this is a reflective paragraph that gives specifics and details about your writing process, purpose for writing, intended audience, strengths, and challenges. This semester's Cover Memo will also include a check list of criteria for you to self-assess your project.
Revision & Reflection: After you receive feedback from me, you may revise your project based on my feedback, any peer or tutor feedback you've received, and your own ideas. Even though we turn in a "final" draft to be evaluated, no piece of writing is ever truly finished. Even published books are sometimes revised and re-released as new editions.
If you receive less than 5 stars on a Major Assignment, you may revise and resubmit that assignment as many times as you’d like to earn more stars. The last day to resubmit all Major Assignments is Sunday, May 13.
Learning Experience Criteria:
Gold: At least 5 Stars on all Major Assignments
Silver: At least 4 Stars on all Major Assignments
Bronze: At least 3 Stars on all Major Assignments
