Frames and Framing: Constructing Meaning in Literature, Linguistics, and Translation
6th International Conference
March 23-24, 2027
Every story told, word chosen, and text translated is an act of framing. Join us for two days as we look beyond the background and explore how frames actively construct, shift, and shatter meaning across literature, linguistics, and translation.
Building on the success of past editions, ICOLLT returns in 2027 with an exceptional roster of international keynote speakers and guests of honor. We are thrilled to host a group of world-renowned scholars, industry leaders, and acclaimed novelists whose groundbreaking work continues to drive innovation across literature, linguistics, and translation studies.
The English Department International Conference on Literature, Linguistics and Translation (ICOLLT) offers a hybrid format, providing a virtual option for those unable to attend in person but eager to learn and connect.
The Faculty of Al-Alsun was founded in 1835 by Sheikh Rifa'a Al-Tahtawi to bridge the gap between Arab and Western cultures. It has since evolved into a prominent institution for language, literature, and translation studies, playing a crucial role in Egypt's cultural and intellectual development.
