Welcome to the official platform of the International Conference on Literature, Linguistics, and Translation (ICOLLT), a premier biennial event organized by the Department of English at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, Egypt. Since its inaugural edition in 2016, the conference has served as a vital global forum dedicated to fostering academic excellence and intellectual exchange across its three core tracks.
Designed to adapt to a changing world, the conference pioneered a hybrid format from its inception, seamlessly blending in-person engagement with online accessibility. A notable exception occurred during the third edition, which was rescheduled to 2021 and hosted entirely online to ensure safety and continuity during the global pandemic and subsequent shutdowns.
Every two years, the conference gathers prominent scholars, researchers, and practitioners from around the globe. It features a rich program of insightful talks, prestigious keynote speeches, and diverse research presentations. At its heart, the conference aims to build enduring cultural and linguistic bridges between peoples and cultures worldwide. Simultaneously, it provides an invaluable opportunity for faculty staff and students to engage directly with the latest theoretical advancements and practical innovations shaping the fields of literature, linguistics, and translation today.
