Depressants

Depressants are the complete opposite of stimulant drugs as they affect the central nervous system by slowing down the messages between the body and the brain. This can affect an individuals concentration and coordination and in large doses can cause vomiting, unconsciousness and even death. The most common depressants are alcohol and benzodiazepines.
