Saint Augustine’s University (SAU) was established in 1867 in Raleigh, N.C. SAU is a four-year liberal arts university with an average enrollment of approximately 1,100. SAU offers more than 25 undergraduate degree programs and is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Our mission is to sustain a learning community in which students can prepare academically, socially and spiritually for leadership in a complex, diverse and rapidly changing world. SAU’s vision is to be nationally recognized as a comprehensive institution with high performing students, renowned faculty, focused community engagement and a strong alumni base of change agents. Students will have the opportunity to select a major from one of the following schools: The School of Business, Management and Technology, the School of Liberal Arts and Humanities, the School or Sciences, Mathematics and Public Health, and the School of Social Behavioral Sciences. The Belk Professional Development and Career Service Center works in concert with faculty members to explore career pathways for students as well as assist with integrating career applications into the curricula. The Center serves as the official campus liaison between job seekers and employers. The staff offers 1:1 coaching, career planning, workshops, job search assistance, and career marketing events for students and alumni seeking opportunities in internships, coops, full-time and/or part-time positions. The College Central Network job portal is used to provide students with employment outlooks, and on-line webinars to navigate their career paths through a rapidly changing highly interdependent world of networks and opportunities.
