Methodist University

Methodist University was chartered November 1, 1956 as a senior, coeducational liberal arts college. Today the University serves approximately 2,300 students. The student body includes persons of diverse ages and nationalities, representing 40 states, the District of Columbia, and 77 foreign countries. The University offers bachelor's degrees in over 80 fields of study including communications, justice studies, business administration, education, and social work. New majors, minors, and concentrations recently added include engineering, entrepreneurship, forensic science, graphic design, and applied communication. The University offers four active graduate degree programs: the Master of Medical Science in physician assistant studies; the Master of Education in literacy, special education, physical education, or coaching and athletic administration; the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT); and the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program. The Office of Career Services supports the mission of the division of Student Affairs and provides career services and resources to all students and alumni from the first year of college to graduation and beyond. The Career Services Office guides and instructs students and alumni in the development of the skills necessary to obtain employment and work satisfaction, to succeed in a diverse and rapidly changing workforce, and to manage their life-long career strategies.
