The DEI Team
The district DEI Team was created in February of 2020 as a subcommittee of the district's Student Achievement Committee. The objectives of the DEI team are:
To conduct an equity audit to assess the current state of diversity, equity and inclusion in our district
To create opportunities for members of the district and the community to interact with the information collected in the audit
To work together with various district departments (Human Resources, Office of Student Achievement, Special Education, English Learners) to leverage audit data into policy and systems changes
To plan preliminary professional development opportunities for the district to begin developing a common language for discussing topics related to diversity, equity and inclusion.
