The DEI Team

The district DEI Team was created in February of 2020 as a subcommittee of the district's Student Achievement Committee. The objectives of the DEI team are:

  • To conduct an equity audit to assess the current state of diversity, equity and inclusion in our district

  • To create opportunities for members of the district and the community to interact with the information collected in the audit

  • To work together with various district departments (Human Resources, Office of Student Achievement, Special Education, English Learners) to leverage audit data into policy and systems changes

  • To plan preliminary professional development opportunities for the district to begin developing a common language for discussing topics related to diversity, equity and inclusion.
