The Austin Literary Academy is a professional learning opportunity for teachers in Austin ISD. Teachers meet during the summer and go through the writing process with ALA trained teachers. Teachers experience brainstorming, draft writing, editing, finalizing a draft, and publishing. This flyer was produced to inform teachers about the dates of the upcoming opportunity.
For the last few years, Austin ISD has been aggressively pursuing increasing the rates of literacy in the district. This one-pager inforgraphic was produced to inform parents about Austin ISD's committment to literacy and showcase the benefits of literacy.
In 2018, Austin ISD combined the Social Studies & Language Arts Institute with the Science & Math Summer Institute. This graphic was used in the branding of the Language Arts & Social Studies side of the institute.

I collaborated with the Social Studies Curriculum Specialst to design and create a series of flyers about different economic philosophies. We were able to create a series of one-page info graphics that teachers could share with students or post in their classrooms.
It is always a challenge to introduce the principals of U.S. government to students. Again, I worked with the Curriculum Specialist in Social Studies to develop this inforgraphic for teachers and use with students in the classroom.
Students are required to know the Presidents of the United States and some of the foreign and domestic issues associated with that president. This is a sample of the James Madison poster that was created for use in American History classrooms.
