The phenomenon of child marriage in the Middle East, a stolen childhood.
During adolescence, various internal conflicts arise. Emotions tend to fluctuate, leading to impulsive decision making and behaviors. This situation certainly requires attention from the surrounding environment.
One of the issues is the phenomenon of early marriage, which is still frequently encountered in Middle Eastern societies. Most countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region have laws on the minimum age for marriage, ranging from age 13 in Iran to age 20 in Tunisia for females.
Mental maturity and financial readiness are also crucial aspects to consider before deciding to enter into marriage.
