Emotions in Daily Context (EDC) Lab

About the Emotions in Daily Context lab

The overarching goal of the EDC lab is to understand how people with unipolar depression regulates their emotions in daily life and whether such pattern of daily emotion regulation is helpful or unhelpful for their depression. Especially, we are interested in how people with depression use day-to-day surrounding stimuli (e.g., music, social media, general media)  to regulate their feelings.

The EDC lab uses multiple research methods (e.g., ecological momentary assessments, behavioral experiments, daily diary, meta-analysis, etc.) to investigate people's use of various emotion regulation strategies in daily contexts.
