The aim of this programme is to bring together Event Management students, recent graduates and industry newcomers with industry professionals for 6-months of 1:1 Mentoring.
Mentors may be well experienced within the industry or may have been in a similar position to Mentees recently having just graduated, but all have knowledge and experiences to share in order to offer guidance and direction to those making the first steps towards their career.
In collaboration with Event First Steps, the programme will be 6-months and Mentees will be paired with a Mentor for 1:1 sessions based on the details listed in application forms. A preparation session for both Mentors and Mentees will be provided ahead of the programme start date along with other resources to help along the way.
1:1 sessions are on the basis of a minimum of 1-hour per month, and the timing and format of your meetings are to be decided upon by both the Mentor and Mentee. There is no set structure to each session, allowing the freedom to explore various topics to help each Mentee achieve both personal and professional goals.
Alongside 1:1 meetings, there will be additional events including Mentee/Mentor discussion groups, networking opportunities and interviews with industry leaders.
