World Day of Prayer with 7 community churches participating. Representatives from Holmesburg United Methodist, Mt. Zion Baptist, Holmesburg Baptist, St. Jerome & St. Dominic Roman Catholic churches, Most Blessed Servants of the Holy Trinity & Emmanuel Resurrection Episcopal meet annually to prepare the service at a designated church. Emmanuel Resurrection hosted in 2016. The service, prepared by the WDP Committee from a particular country, includes music, prayer & special concerns of women.

- Church World Service - Blanket Sunday
- Seamen's Church Institute - Knitting caps & scarves, Ditty Bag collection & assisting in the assembling of Ditty Bags at SCI.
Community
Community
- Preparing & Delivering 50/60 servings of Chili to The King's Kitchen at the Holmesburg United Methodist Church three times a year. Girl Scouts assist on Martin Luther King Day as their community service.
- Preparing & delivering homemade Holiday breads at Easter & Christmas to the 84 residents who are our neighbors at Holmecrest.
- Community Care of the NE - Distributing news of their work in the community.
- J.H. Brown School - knitted caps, scarves & mittens.
