Bespoke course design 

The Marlin Bay Hotel induction course is a complete example project I developed to showcase a range of my instructional design and digital learning skills, and the kind of bespoke packages we currently offer at Emblem Training Solutions. Marlin Bay is a fictional boutique hotel brand, with every element created purely for demonstration purposes,  so you’re welcome to explore and play around with the course in its entirety by clicking on the link below! 

The project highlights end-to-end design, branded templates, interactive eLearning in Articulate Rise, scenario-based activities, video integration, and assessment design. It’s designed to give you a clear picture of how I approach content, structure, and visual storytelling to create engaging and effective learning experiences.

This is an eLearning Rise course for employers of all Apprentices across Paragon Skills. The need was identified by staff in the organisation and I was given the task of constructing the course in its entirety. I followed the ADDIE model , scripting and creating all design elements myself. This course took me approximately 2 weeks to make. That includes gaining feedback from colleagues, SLT and making all required amendments.

Comprehensive tutor instructions and guidance for internal staff using the platform 'Cognassist'

Below are screenshots of a few sections from a microlearning, created using Articulate Rise. This resource serves to guide internal staff on how to utilise the neurodiversity assessment tool Cognassist. The microlearning contains images, flow charts, a video, links to resources and a storyline interaction around the 3Is of the EIF. 

I had a lot of fun putting this microlearning together and as my some of my background is in learning support, I wrote all content for the resource.

I consider PowerPoint one of my favourite tools for creating visually engaging and impactful learning materials. Whether designing presentations, interactive resources, or training decks, I leverage its full potential to create polished, professional outputs. 

As an expert user, I also deliver training sessions on PowerPoint, sharing tips, tricks, and best practices to help others harness its capabilities. I love exploring its versatility to transform complex information into clear, engaging visuals that resonate with any audience.
