Appropriate for girls of all ages. This open air muesum is comprised of 18th and 19th century original and reconstructed homes and business and is located in Johnson Park in Piscataway on River Road. Village is CLOSED when there are Rutgers home football games (given the proximity to the stadium). Admission and parking are free and exploration of the various buildings is self-paced. Great location for "Playing in the Past" badge for Juniors as girls can speak with the Stonemason, Seamstress, Soldiers and Teachers on site.

Get a hands-on experience exploring science and technology at the Liberty Science Center, one of the top museums in New Jersey.

For an additional fee to the cost of an admission ticket, Daisy through Cadette troops can participate in a hands on program with LSC Staff members to earn a badge. Visit their site for additional info.


New Jersey Audubon fosters environmental awareness and a conservation ethic among New Jersey’s citizens; protects New Jersey’s birds, mammals, other animals, and plants, especially endangered and threatened species; and promotes preservation of New Jersey’s valuable natural habitats.

Appropriate for Brownies - Cadettes. Admission is free and located on the College Avenue Campus of Rutgers University. Get an upclose look at fossils, a mastadon skeleton and an Egyptian mummy. Tours can be arranged for Scout Groups to earn a special patch and participate in activities. Pay by parking meter or on side streets on College Ave Campus.

A flat, well-developed 186 acre camping area contains three lodges, seven tent units, playing fields, lake waterfront, dining hall located in Gloucester County. Each tent unit has a pavilion with a fireplace, picnic tables, cooking equipment and electricity and water (flush toilets are in a nearby bathrooms), swimming pool for summer use, an 18-station fitness course, archery range, canoeing and kayaking, hayride and a two-mile nature trail through the oak forest.

Oak Spring is 120 acres of rolling hills, streams and woodlands located in Somerset County. Two heated buildings, two Yurts, 4 platform tent units, "pitch your own tent" sites, sports field, archery range, hayrides, boating and canoeing on the Delaware-Raritan canal, & nature trails. Swimming pool for summer use.

Inawendiwin is 475 acres of sandy pine barren environment, wild blueberry, laurel, pine and oak forests and insect eating plants (Lou Henry Hoover Wildlife sanctuary). Six heated buildings, three units with acorn cabins, two units of platform tents, "pitch your own tent" sites, archery range, Trading Post, nature center and nature trails. Swimming pool for summer use.

This 158 acres Pinelands camp surrounds an 11 acre lake with sandy trails, oak and pine trees, mountain laurel, blueberries and ferns located in Burlington County. Three heated lodges, five tent units, "pitch your own tent" site, archery range, canoes, two nature trails, amphitheater and chapel.
