What Seniors Do? (Grades 9-10)

Seniors are entering high school and are putting their leadership and friendship making skills to good use!  Girls are explorning new badges in the areas of STEM, health and personal finance.  They might earn their Counselor in Training award to mentor younger scouts or even start to explore topics toward working in their Gold Award.

Cadette/Senior/Ambassador Program Opportunity

Girl Scouts is marking the 100th year of votes for women with a new “Suffrage Centennial” patch.  Jean Sinzdak, Associate Director of the Center for American Women in Politics (a unit of the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers), has graciously agreed to serve as a facilitator (in person or virtually) and help any older troop earn the patch.  Jean’s program is based on the materials from the packet we’ve included below and runs about 2 ½ hours (including time for a hands-on project).  To learn more about Jean and the patch use the links below.  For info on the program, email Amy at agdgreekgirl@yahoo.com
