Privacy Policy

Ember is designed to be a private space for your spiritual journey. We believe in total transparency regarding the small amount of technical data required to keep the app running.

1. What stays only on your device

Your Journal & Rituals: Everything you write in your journal, every Tarot card you draw, and every I-Ching result is stored locally on your phone. We do not have a server, we do not have accounts, and we can never see your personal content. If you delete the app, this data is gone forever unless you have exported it yourself.

2. What we "Collect" (and why)

To provide free features (like unlocking rituals via ads) and ensure the app doesn't crash, we use standard Google tools (AdMob and Google Play Services). These tools collect:

• Approximate Location: Used to show you relevant ads (for example, showing local Texas services instead of ads from another country). We never track your exact GPS coordinates.

• Device Identifiers: These are technical "IDs" that help prevent fraud and ensure that when you watch an ad to unlock a ritual, the app knows to give you the reward.

• App Interactions: We see which buttons are clicked most often (like "Manual Entry" vs. "Tarot Draw"). This helps us understand which features to improve in future updates.

• Crash Logs & Diagnostics: If the app freezes or crashes, a technical report is sent to us so we can fix the bug for you. These reports contain no personal information.

• Consent in Applicable Regions: For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK, we use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to gather explicit consent before initializing the AdMob SDK or collecting any device identifiers.

3. Sharing with Third Parties

We do not sell your data. We only share the technical identifiers mentioned above with Google AdMob (to show ads) and Google Play (to process your Pro Unlock upgrade). These partners are required to keep this data secure and encrypted.

4. Your Control

You are in charge of your digital footprint:

• To delete all data: Simply uninstall Ember or go to your phone's Settings > Apps > Ember > Clear Data.

• To reset your Ad ID: You can reset or delete your Advertising ID anytime in your phone's Settings > Google > Ads.
