Meet the Coaches

Coach Oliva began his tenure as the Head Varsity Coach for the El Modena Girls' Basketball Program during the 2022-23 season.

Previously, he served on the El Modena Boys’ Basketball coaching staff as both a Junior Varsity and Freshman Head Coach, over the past 8 years. Prior to that, he spent 3 years at Orange High School, as the Boys’ Freshman Head Coach.

Coach Oliva has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He has been involved in youth sports for over 30 years in a variety of capacities. He is excited for the opportunity to guide the El Modena Girls’ program going forward.

Coach Gutierrez joined the coaching staff of the El Modena Girls' Basketball Program at the start of the 2022-23 school year as the Head Junior Varsity Coach. Coach Gutierrez is also the Girls' Basketball Coach at Santiago Charter Middle School.

Previously, Coach Gutierrez played for 4 years on the Boys' Basketball Program at Cypress High School.

Coach Robinson joined the coaching staff of the El Modena Girls' Basketball Program in our Spring 2023-24 season.

When Coach Robinson is not on the court she is a student at California State University of Long Beach pursing her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology Exercise Science. 

Coach Garcia joined the coaching staff of the El Modena Girls' Basketball Program during the 2022-23 school year as an Assistant Coach for the Varsity. 

Coach Garcia is also a proud Alumni of the El Modena Boys' Basketball Program where he played for 4 years during his High School career.
