Using the skills I gained from my previous upcycle project and scraps of linen fabric, I crafted a Highlands cropped t-shirt for Friday's football game. Each letter was sewn individually using a simple stitch. This was an enjoyable project and I enjoyed strengthening my skills.
For this project, I cut up a black long-sleeve shirt, but I cut the sleeves too short. To fix this, I cut the bottom of the shirt and used that fabric to create make-shift sleeves. It was challenging, but I took breaks and kept coming back to it until I figured it out. Once the sleeves were done I added a cheetah print patch.
Shortly after my first pair, I made a new pair of boxer shorts, this time adjusting the length by adding a few extra inches for a better fit. I used the same pattern as before but incorporated the improvements based on my previous pair. overall it was a rewarding project, and I enjoyed the opportunity to correct my earlier mistakes and see the progress in my skills.
