Chapter 2: Tomorrow

One morning, I woke up and went to my kitchen, then made myself a cup of coffee. As I sat down at the table with my mug, I sipped my hot coffee then started thinking – no, more like worrying. I began thinking about the balances on my bills in comparison to the balance in my bank account. I began considering the upcoming week, how much I had for gas, how much I had for food, this due, that due. I began thinking about everything I had to pay, and I just didn’t have enough. Then the Lord spoke to me and said, “Don’t look into tomorrow. Don’t even put your toe into it.”

Wow! That was mind-blowing to me. I had to learn not to focus on tomorrow, what I don’t have or what seems like it’s about to happen. He’s teaching me to lean on and depend on Him. I’ve learned this is a process. Living a Christian life is a process like no other. It truly is a faith walk.
