I greatly appreciate the land around me because it allows me to partake in some of my favorite activities. For example, I wouldn't be able to ski or hike without mountains such as Mount Mansfield. Not to mention the incredibly breathtaking views on top of the mountains. I am grateful to be able the see the beauty of the land because many people will go their whole lives living in congested areas not getting to experience fresh air and nature's true beauty. 

Not only is the land around me beautiful but it also serves the purpose of providing my family and me with food. Ever since I can remember My family has grown our food. There is nothing quite like being able to just walk out of your house and pick a snack off of a tree. The land around me allows me to be able to know exactly where my food comes from and be able to have it as fresh as possible. 

I appreciate being able to go and sit on a rock by my house and just listen to the birds chirp and the frogs croak around me with no noise pollution just the land and the wildlife around me. In Morrisville, more and more land is being taken by large apartment buildings which is taking away the habitats of many different animals. This is not only happening in my town but all over. I am grateful for where I live there is plenty of space for wildlife to roam freely.
