Reflection:

Macroinvertebrates Day was a bust for me. The only things I found in my stream were two lunged snails. I assume the reason for this is that my stream is quite shallow and not very fast-moving. I anticipated going out there that I wouldn't find much because of the conditions of my stream but all four times I was skunked except for the two snails I found. Although I didn't catch the macroinvertebrates I was looking for I had many Water Striders swimming around me. Even though I found very little Macroinvertebrates I still enjoyed sitting on a rock by my stream and sketching one of the lunged snails.
