Since May of 2020, I have been an active volunteer with the Women in Economics Initiative (WiE). Our goal is to improve the standing of women in economics and economic life. I served as coordinator of the Writing & Editing team from February 2021 until August 2025 and have been a member of the Board of WiE since October 2024.Â
If you are interested in following along or learning more about our activities, then I encourage you to follow us on BlueSky, LinkedIn, and Instagram, as well as, to subscribe for our newsletter and join as a member.
Since 2019, I have been lucky to attend the Federal Reserve's annual Women in Economics Symposium hosted in past by the St. Louis Fed and the Cleveland Fed. At the time of the event in 2021, I was working part-time in the research department of the St. Louis Fed and am thankful to Scott Walla and Mary Suiter for letting me help with the event!
While I was interning with the St. Louis Fed in the summer of 2020, my peer Zena Pare and I were interviewed on the Women in Economics podcast about what drew us to economics, our outlook on the field, and the importance of mentors. Check out the interview here.
