This is a scientific poster I made and presented to a mini scientific conference. I interned at SDSU's marine ecology lab, named CMIL. I worked closely with Shoshana Lescht-Smith and William Church. Shoshana mentored both Will and me in her master's research - Effect of Temperature on Feeding Behavior of California Spiny Lobster - during the summer of 2025. Shoshana worked under Dr. Kevin Hovel, who helps run and fund this whole experience. Huge shout-out to the entire CMIL lab for letting students get excellent hands-on experience in a marine ecology lab. I learned how to drive a boat, drop lobster traps, properly measure lobsters, clean enclosures, and observe lobster behavior.

This poster was one of the first I made for my BIO 210 A course at Miramar College. I was assigned a topic to study and make an APA format scientific poster to be judged in an in-class competition. My poster was the winner out of my class of 20+ students. This covers the topic of engineering algae to produce biofuels, which is a rapidly growing source of green fuel being implemented in multiple gas stations to this day.
