The Hats Off to the Band Community Parade is a beloved summer tradition and a key fundraising event for the Elkhorn South band program. Each year, a neighborhood is chosen to host the parade, where the marching band performs a variety of tunes learned during band camp while marching through the community.
A highlight of the event is the opportunity to purchase yard concerts, where the band stops to play a selected song for a donation. This fun and interactive event brings the community together while supporting the band program.
The Night of Stars event is a fun and collaborative fundraising event that brings together the Elkhorn South High School band program with students from Elkhorn Valley View Middle School and Elkhorn Ridge Middle School. Held each April, this event showcases student talent through solos, duets, ensembles, and large group performances.
The Southside School of Jazz is a collaborative event that brings together jazz students from Elkhorn South High School, Elkhorn Valleyview Middle School, and Elkhorn Ridge Middle School. This exciting program includes a jazz clinic in January, where students refine their skills and learn from experienced educators, followed by a concert performance in February.
