🌍✈️ At Elkamhawy Lab, we proudly support our students in gaining international exposure.

My PhD student Aliya Amanzhol attended the International Summer School on Biomedical Sciences at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Georgia (Aug 2025)—a “transformative experience” that strengthened her technical skills and inspired her future PhD research.

As Aliya shared: “Equally memorable was the setting — the city of Batumi, a beautiful and vibrant coastal city on the Black Sea, whose cultural atmosphere added so much to the overall experience.” 🌊✨

🎉 Our M.Sc. and Ph.D. students from Elkamhawy Lab have been selected to attend the Kazbiologica Hands-On Workshop at Nazarbayev University! They received practical training in chromatography, ELISA, and enzymology, strengthening their expertise in biochemistry and immunochemistry. Wishing them a productive and inspiring experience! 🧪👏

As the academic year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to celebrate the amazing members of our research group at NU. In collaboration with Prof. Lee’s team (Dongguk Univ., Korea) and Prof. Ammar’s group (Edinburgh Napier Univ., UK), our team at NU has developed novel Raf kinase inhibitors as potential melanoma treatment.
