Welcome to the Elkamhawy Lab, a dynamic research group at Nazarbayev University dedicated to advancing the field of medicinal chemistry and drug discovery. Under the leadership of Prof. Ahmed Elkamhawy, our lab focuses on innovative solutions to pressing biomedical challenges.

Our Mission: The Elkamhawy Lab aims to design and develop novel therapeutic agents targeting complex diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. Through a multidisciplinary approach combining synthetic chemistry, molecular modeling, and biochemical analysis, we strive to make meaningful contributions to global health.

Our Achievements:

• Over 65 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals, including the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, Bioorganic Chemistry, Archives of Pharmacal Research, Antioxidants, Archiv der Pharmazie, and European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry.

• Multiple patents on innovative drug candidates and methodologies.

• Recognition through numerous awards, such as Faculty Development Competitive Research Grants Program (FDCRGP), the KIST-School Partnership Project for Scientific Research and international conference accolades.
