I am associate professor at NHH Norwegian School of Economics (Norway) and Academic Director and Co-Program Lead Learning EngageEU. I have been visiting professor at the University of Paderborn (Germany) in Spring 2022, at Bocconi University (Italy) in Spring 2023 and 2024, at Stanford Graduate School of Business (USA) in Spring 2024 and at IESE Barcelona in Spring 2025. I have been visiting researcher at the fiscal affair department at the International Monetary Fund (USA) in Summer 2023.
My research focuses on the effectiveness of international initiatives on administrative tax cooperation. In my papers, I combine state-of-the-art empirical methodology with deep legal framework analysis, as shown in my publication record at the World Tax Journal, the Journal of Public Economics, and the British Tax Review. In 2022, I was granted the Marie Skłodowska Curie Fellow for the project TAXFAIR (2023-2025), that provides a knowledge-based framework for governments and policymakers around the world to implement an effective system for the automatic exchange of information. I collaborated as external expert with Synthesia to support their Anti-Tax Avoidance Directive evaluation report requested by DG TAXUD.
I am (or was) the co-supervisor of: Costanza Cincotta (placement 2025: CUNEF, economic department); Mickael Sixdenier (economic department at NHH)
