I am engaged in roles to communicate volcanic risk to a wide range of audiences. 

Academic Service and Leadership

• Elected member of the IAVCEI Commission on Volcanic Hazards and Risk (2025–Present)

• Appointed Secretary of the Cities and Volcanoes (CaV) Commission, contributing to the organisation of international Cities on Volcanoes conferences (2024–Present)

• Co-leader of the ASI Research Cluster Natural Hazards & Society.

Past roles:

• Elected Secretary of the Postdoctoral Network Board at the University of Twente (2025–2026)

• Appointed member of the Geo-Ethics Committee at the University of Twente (2024-2026)

• Lead convener for the IAVCEI Conference (2025)

• Convener for the APRU Multi-Hazards Symposium (2024)

• Appointed member of the Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity (JEDI) Committee at NTU (2023)

• Elected Graduate Welfare Director at NTU, organising initiatives, and advocating for, student wellbeing (2020-2022)
