In the beginning of the semester, my professor invited me to work as a stage hand for this socially distanced, six-story play called Alone/Together. This play served as many firsts for me--First time being the only stage hand backstage, first time being stage manager, first time working a theatre production outside of my high school and instead working with college students, and, of course, first time doing a socially distanced play. But I had lots of fun with this production.
You can watch the video, however all the scene changes (by me) were cut out. Still a great show regardless!
My final project for this class was to read the play Barefoot in the Park by Neil Simon, take notes, make sketches, and to make a model of a set design for the show. This slideshow includes a collage I used as inspiration for my set designing, as well as my analyses of each act, a list of props for my sets, and how I imagine scene changes would occur.
