CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE) PATHWAYS
CTE pathways are programs of study that involve a multiyear sequence of courses that integrates core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge to provide students with a pathway to post-secondary education and careers.
The main focus of CTE is to prepare students for academic achievement, career exploration, career preparation, and leadership development. The successful transition to post secondary education and the workplace will be accomplished through the principles of college and career readiness: communication, collaboration, problem-solving, professionalism, job shadowing, internships, and business partnerships.
CTE PATHWAYS AT EASTLAKE HIGH SCHOOL INCLUDE:
Engineering Design
Digital, Visual and Media Arts
Healthcare Administrative Services
Patient Care
Click HERE to see the classes offered in each pathway. The student needs to complete the introductory course and capstone class in sequence in order to be a pathway completer. The student's counselor can help answer any questions regarding the pathways and courses needed.
Additional information regarding CTE, including articulation with SWC can be found on the district website HERE.
