Summer STEM will offer programs in design, engineering and hands-on problem-solving. Class projects will cover topics from current problems in civil, chemical, electrical, and mechanical engineering. Students gain knowledge in an engineering field and guidance to address a real-world problem by designing and engineering a solution. Students who attend the program and successfully complete the assignments will receive a certificate of completion from The Cooper Union.
At the NSLC on Engineering summer program for high school students, you’ll explore a variety of engineering fields including mechanical, civil, electrical, and biomedical engineering. Professors and professional engineers will tell you about exciting new research endeavors and their latest projects. Then, engineering simulations give you the opportunity to design and build with your teammates.
Do you have the desire to tackle problems through design? Do you enjoy learning how and why things work? At the NSLC Engineering Intensive, you’ll explore various fields in engineering and decide if engineering is the career for you!
During this 18-day program, you will learn from top engineering experts and meet with successful researchers and professors. Learning from their experiences, you will take away valuable lessons and insight that will help guide you as you pursue a career in engineering.
The Young Engineer Summer Internship is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for aspiring engineers to undertake the work experience of their dreams in London. Over the course, students will have some of the most prestigious experiences of engineering that one can imagine: experience-days at the Airbus ExoMars facility and Jaguar Land Rover and an Engineering ‘Supercar’ trip to Lamborghini and Pagani in Italy.
Since 1972, Summer Youth Programs (SYP) at Michigan Technology University has offered students in grades 6–11 a variety of hands-on explorations in engineering, science, technology, computer science, business, design, and the humanities. During their time on campus, students live in our full-service residence hall, eat in the dining hall, and participate in their chosen exploration. In the evening, students have time to relax and participate in many different supervised recreational activities, taking advantage of Lake Superior, waterfalls, hiking trails and exploring nature in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan
Canada/USA Mathcamp is an intensive 5-week-long summer program for mathematically talented high school students, designed to expose these students to the beauty of advanced mathematical ideas and to new ways of thinking. More than just a summer camp, Mathcamp is a vibrant community, made up of a wide variety of people who share a common love of learning and passion for mathematics. At Mathcamp, students can explore undergraduate and even graduate-level topics while building problem-solving skills that will help them in any field they choose to study.
