Born on the campus of Stanford University in 1999 and given accreditation by Stanford University Continuing Studies in 2002, Digital Media Academy has been designing, developing, and delivering STEM education to students of all ages ever since. From day one, we have set out to provide world-class tech education that sets students up for future success in learning and creating. Choose a studio concentration and tackle a project. Study for three weeks and create a knock-out portfolio. You’ll meet new people, have the option to live on campus, learn from professionals, receive feedback from admissions counselors and participate in a final exhibition of student work.
The Tisch Summer High School Program is tuition-based and culminates in six college credits. This program includes projects, professional training, and collaboration. The classes are based on the Tisch undergraduate curriculum. Students in the Tisch Summer High School Program are expected to complete any coursework and professional training requirements of the artistic track they are enrolled in. Students apply to one of these artistic tracks: Dance, Drama, Production & Design, Dramatic Writing, Filmmaking, Game Design, Photography and Imaging, or Recorded Music.

MUSICAL THEATRE ACTING FOR THE STAGE DANCE THEATRE ACTING FOR FILM + TV POP STAR: RECORDING ARTISTDigital photography combines the art, technology, and the great outdoors! Capture images on explorations throughout the Keweenaw Peninsula, which offers beautiful shorelines, waterfalls, and abandoned mine structures. You will learn about exposure, composition, and visualization. Explore creative possibilities as you refine your images with software like Adobe Photoshop.
This course is an introduction to photographic equipment, materials, and processes that includes extensive darkroom instruction in black-and-white printing and creative darkroom control. The aesthetics of camera vision are explored through classroom discussion and lectures.
Students can spark their imaginations while refining their personal artistic vision with SCAD pre-college programs this summer. At SCAD Summer Seminars and SCAD Rising Star, participants can experience all the perks of being a SCAD student — from inspired settings and professional-caliber resources to one-on-one guidance from acclaimed faculty.
