NEWS: I am currently working on some translations of my poetry. If you are interested in translating my poems from Italian into other languages and/or publishing translations in books or literary blogs, contact me!

💬 I am passionate about learning ancient and modern languages: I love the beauty of their inner structures, and at the same time their amazing variation from one speaker and writer to another. In order to learn, I like to have people to communicate with and share (inter)cultural interests: I try to make the most of free language courses and real life learning opportunities (e.g. cultural organisations, language cafés) as well as of online resources (not to forget following some national finals selecting Eurovision artists in their original languages).

💬 Since 2021, I am a member of the International Association of Hyperpolyglots (HYPIA), an organisation representing the hyperpolyglot community worldwide, which promotes linguistic diversity and inclusion and is committed to the preservation of endangered languages. You can see my profile with my written interview on the HYPIA website.

💬 My mother tongue is the wonderful Italian language. Due to my family heritage, I can also understand Sicilian and Abruzzese.

💬 I am fluent in English, French, Dutch, and Spanish, conversational in Modern Greek and German, and I have some basic skills in Russian and Portuguese. I find myself currently at the beginning of the hard (yet exquisite) journey of acquiring some Polish.

💬 I have studied different ancient languages, which I cannot unfortunately speak: first and foremost Ancient Greek and Latin, but also Sanskrit, Classical Arabic, Sabellic languages, Classical Armenian, Avestan and Mycenaean.

💬 Feel free to talk to me in any of the languages above mentioned, whether it is your native tongue or a language you may want to practice. We will do code mixing, make beautiful mistakes (ahem, produce some non-standard forms) and learn together :)  Here you can see me a couple of years ago doing exactly this! (my Greek is luckily a bit better now)
